Holistic Treatment

Home Holistic Treatment

In most cases, treating addiction requires a comprehensive approach. Evidence-based treatments such as medication and therapy are often used as they have proven to be effective at helping people manage substance use and mental health disorders.

Despite their proven efficacy, psychotherapy may not be enough to comprehensively approach a person’s recovery. They may help address the mental facet of recovery, but they may be inadequate at managing its physical and emotional aspects.

However, holistic care can offer complementary therapies to emphasise complete recovery, promote relaxation, and enhance overall wellness.

Holistic treatment options emphasise treating the whole person rather than just symptoms. They integrate health and recovery’s physical, mental, and emotional aspects. Many holistic cares are rooted in spirituality, so they also address the spiritual aspects of recovery.

These approaches prioritise natural and non-invasive methods to enhance a patient’s well-being and prevent relapse.

Holistic treatments focus on lifestyle changes, such as diet, exercise, and stress management, to encourage long-term recovery and balance.

They often involve personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting self-awareness and empowerment in managing one’s health.

Holistic treatments also focus on the importance of prevention and seek to address root causes rather than merely alleviating symptoms. This comprehensive approach supports sustainable wellness, encouraging a harmonious connection between mind, body, and spirit for optimal health outcomes.

Treatment Options at Liberty Home

Liberty Home’s treatment is divided between two treatment centres. Each treatment centre focuses on different aspects of recovery. Our clinics include:

South African House

Liberty Home Clinic - South Africa

Our primary treatment centre in Cape Town, South Africa, is an inpatient treatment facility. While in this facility, patients will receive intense treatment and support for their process addictions, substance use disorders, and occurring mental health troubles. The staff at this centre will be available 24/7 so patients can have support at all hours of the day.

This centre does not offer detox, but it works with nearby medical facilities to support patients needing detox.

Belgium House

Liberty Home Secondary - Belgium

Our secondary treatment centre is not an inpatient rehab. Rather, Liberty Home’s Belgian facility is a sober living home. While in this facility, residents will be able to practise living independently from their addiction. They’ll undergo our Reintegration programme, teaching them the skills to navigate the world sober. They’ll also be treated with our Mindfulness programme, which encourages them to continuously choose to be sober and to avoid falling into old habits.

Potential residents must first complete an inpatient programme and detox if they relapse. For security purposes, the centre is locked down between 22:00 and 7:00.

Types of Holistic Therapy at Liberty Home

Liberty Home’s holistic treatments are an important facet of our addiction treatment. Some of the holistic care options we use include:

What are the Benefits of Holistic Health Approaches?

Complementary and alternative medicine practices can have numerous health benefits. Many holistic medicine approaches, such as yoga, are also popular exercises. This can help many people in treatment for addiction recover their physical health.

Holistic treatments can also help support a person’s mental wellness as well. Many holistic treatments, such as yoga and mindfulness, have been known to alleviate the symptoms of depression and anxiety. By alleviating these symptoms, holistic treatments can enhance a patient’s emotional well-being.

The mental and physical health benefits can support a person’s long-term health and recovery. They can help a person manage stress disorders and chronic pain without using potentially addictive medication.

Making different lifestyle choices is also an important part of overall recovery, and holistic treatment approaches can help support these lifestyle changes by emphasising the importance of exercise, eating a balanced diet, and getting enough rest.

Furthermore, holistic health treatments address all aspects of health, fostering a balanced and integrated approach to wellness and leading to more harmonious and sustainable health outcomes.

Discover a Holistic Approach With Liberty Home

Some people don’t believe in holistic care. They think that the only thing that can fix a person is a pill or surgery. However, holistic treatments can help people relax and keep their mental and physical health in check.

While they may not be backed up by scientific evidence, they can still help a lot of people recover from addiction. Many recovery journeys would not have been possible without integrating holistic treatment into the care approach.

At Liberty Home, we are advocates for comprehensive recovery, and we’ll be here to help people overcome their troubles.
